Joking aside, I find the cheapest to be the best in regards to material, I use Euroshopper brand kittylitter. It should be widely available throughout Europe. The trick is to as stated by many others: Grind the kittylitter in a blender until it''s a fine powder. Add grog, I use chrushed clay flowerpots.
